Nellie’s MD is Ben Slater. Ben is a highly qualified, professional and experienced Social Worker; he’s worked exclusively in adult social care. Ben is passionate about having a positive impact on people’s lives and local communities. Ben received a 1st Class honours degree from the University of Lincoln and is a guest lecturer at the Institute for Higher education in Grimsby. Ben has three children and lives with his partner, Kerry, in Lincolnshire.

Nellie Supports the Community
We help individuals and families who struggle to access adult social care support from their Local Authority due to being above the financial threshold of £23,250 outlined in the Care Act (2014); (this can be savings, assets or income).
Nellie helps and supports by providing efficient, ethically-priced adult social care assessment and brokerage services that are comparable to Local Authority charges.
Nellie aims to work with other local businesses and third sector bodies to create local social events to reduce social isolation and improve social engagement, whilst promoting the local community and wellbeing.
Nellie will continue to be innovative by assessing both individuals’ and communities’ needs to ensure it meets these ever-changing social needs.

“Since 2001 new Social Workers have been required to be trained to degree level with an emphasis on critical thinking and analysis. Social Work education is generic covering the entire life cycle from birth to palliative care.
